Auburn Fan’s Ashes Spread on Field
December 2nd, 2013| by Lost Lettermen
The grounds crew at Jordan-Hare Stadium found something left for them after Saturday’s victory over No. 1 Alabama in arguably the greatest Iron Bowl of all time: the ashes of a cremated person.
That’s right. It appears one fan carried the ashes of a beloved family member of friend to Saturday’s Iron Bowl with hopes of spreading the ashes on the field, and got the chance when fans stormed the field following cornerback Chris Davis’ 109-yard missed field goal return for a touchdown as time expired for the 34-28 victory.
If that’s the case, there’s no better way to go out.
