DII Findlay Reveals Unique New Helmets

April 26th, 2013| by

This fall, the football players at Division II University of Findlay in Ohio won’t have any excuse for not knowing whose helmet is whose on the sidelines.

That’s because the Oilers’ recently revealed new helmets that have the players’ last names on the back — the first college football lids ever to do so.

Findlay’s new helmets are also cool in addition to that unique feature. The combination of black, yellow and matte metallic gray really works, as does the cool decal of an oil derrick sprouting up between the “U” and “F.”

While we could seem some logistical problems with long last names, if it helps the Oilers improve upon their 7–3 record from a year ago, all the better. Grade: A-
