DIII School Gets Wild Gradient Helmet

If you thought the two-tone helmet that the Jacksonville Jaguars unveiled in April was crazy, let us introduce to you the Scots of Division III Alma (MI) College.

While not as dramatic as the Jaguars’ black-to-gold, front-to-back color transition, the pattern in Alma’s new helmet is still a very noticeable cream-to-maroon gradient. The truly crazy part of the new lid is the block “A” decal. As homage to the school’s nickname, it features an awesome maroon and teal argyle pattern.

Here’s hoping that the Scots advance to the 2013 Division III national championship game, if only so we can see what these helmets look like on TV. Grade: A
