ESPN Analyst’s Daughter Steals Show

October 21st, 2013| by

ESPN’s Brett McMurphy welcomed his nine-year-old daughter, Chesney, onto the broadcast of his “10 @ :10” segment on Saturday as a nod to Northwestern’s “Peanut Free Day.” (Chesney McMurphy suffers from a peanut allergy.)

Little did we know that the segment would serve as a national introduction to one of the more impressive junior sportscasters we’ve seen in a while.

Chesney more than held her own when explaining the significance of the Florida-Missouri game (the furthest north the Gators had traveled for a regular season game since 1991) and Arkansas’ losing streak since Jen Bielema’s #karma tweet.

Why yes, Brett, it does appear that your daughter is trying to take your job…
