FGCU Fan Dunks With Water Jet Pack

June 24th, 2013| by

After watching high-flying Florida Gulf Coast steal the show during the 2013 NCAA Tournament’s opening weekend, the folks at Hunter Skipper — an outdoor apparel company based in St. Petersburg, not far from FGCU’s Fort Myers campus — apparently wanted to get in on the fun.

Teaming up with another St. Pete business, Iron Mon Watersports, Hunter Skipper’s eponymous founder, Lance Hunter Skipper, strapped his feet to one of Iron Mon’s “flyboards” — a partially water-powered jetpack that looks like something out of Back to the Future — and slammed home several dunks on a backboard hanging from a bridge somewhere in the Florida Keys.

What we wouldn’t give to see Chase Fieler or any of his Eagles teammates dunking with one of these.
