Former UK, ‘Cuse F Ellis Arrested for DUI

April 30th, 2013| by

Victor Page has some company in the pantheon of “Epic Mugshots by a Former College Basketball Standout.”

Former Kentucky and Syracuse forward LeRon Ellis was arrested in Glendale, CA, on Sunday — his 44th birthday — on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance after police pulled him over for speeding. While Ellis doesn’t appear as in dire straits as Page was following his 2011 arrest, he nonetheless looks … disheveled.

Ellis, the son of late St. John’s star and NBA veteran LeRoy Ellis, was a Second Team All-SEC performer as a Wildcats sophomore in 1988–1989 before transferring to Syracuse following that season. The 22nd overall pick in the 1991 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers, he played professionally for 10 seasons in six different countries. LeRon Ellis profile
