Ohio State Fans Mourn Gee’s Retirement
June 5th, 2013| by Lost Lettermen
Ohio State president Gordon Gee’s “retirement” on Tuesday was more or less inevitable after his insensitive, foot-in-mouth comments from a December meeting were revealed last week.
Yet his personable nature with the student body over both of his presidential terms in Columbus (1990–1997 and 2007–2013) will make him missed by many Ohio State students and alums. Scores of them took to Twitter yesterday to support Gee and post pictures that he was gracious enough to pose with them for.

There’s ample evidence to suggest that Gee was always, at heart, a good man despite being a controversial university administrator throughout his career. This Twitter tribute demonstrates that in spades.
