Phil Knight Has Awesome Oregon Locker

September 20th, 2013| by

Bankrolling your alma mater’s gleaming new football facility, a la what Nike founder Phil Knight did for Oregon, carries with it certain perks.

The 75-year-old Knight may not be in any physical position to take to the gridiron, yet he nonetheless has his own locker in the locker room of the Ducks’ new $68 million Hatfield-Dowlin Complex — one that doesn’t even have his full name listed but rather his nickname of “Uncle Phil.”

Translation: Knight is well aware of his sugar daddy status in the Oregon community and couldn’t be prouder of it.
