Photo: Kevin Sumlin’s Gnarly Knuckle Goes Viral

As one of the fastest rising college football coaches, many people tend to forget that Texas A&M’s Kevin Sumlin was once a linebacker for Purdue.
And he was the battle scars to prove it.
A picture of Sumlin’s gnarly knuckle that appears to be an old war wound from playing college football went viral after A&M’s 52-48 victory over Duke in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.

While many assumed Sumlin punched a wall during halftime, this is actually the normal look of the knuckle on his left ring finger.
Thankfully, it looks like Sumlin realized having a wedding band on that finger would be extremely painful when taking it off and has removed it.
