Texas Tech Unveils Ugly New Hoops Unis

We’re normally an objective website with no stake in college teams’ fortunes.
But for the sake of fans’ eyes, we hope that Texas Tech is eliminated from this week’s Big 12 basketball tournament as early as possible.
During their 71-69 loss to Texas on Saturday, the Red Raiders sported new Under Armour uniforms that it appears they will also wear for the conference tournament, starting on Wednesday against West Virginia. To call them “ugly” would be a disservice to the world “ugly.”
The red and black shoulders set against black and white torso portion of the jersey make the threads resemble a WNBA uniform. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Under Armour has taken a page out of Nike’s book and gone with a logo uniform look that’s about three sizes too small.
It’s been a rough season for Texas Tech basketball. They endured a 10–19 regular season and had to sport multiple ugly uniforms.
It’s only fitting that would go out with such a lack of style. Grade: F
