Trojans in Sun Bowl Dinner Controversy

December 27th, 2012| by

We already knew that USC is less than thrilled to be playing in the Sun Bowl on New Year’s Eve after a season that started with national title aspirations, as evidenced by LB Tony Burnett tweeting “F*** My Life” about playing in the game and DT Leonard Williams tweeting El Paso is a “shi**y city.”

But the Trojans took things to a new level by reportedly showing up over 90 minutes late to a pre-Sun Bowl dinner with Georgia Tech due to a later-than-scheduled practice. The Yellow Jackets were reportedly not pleased and returned to the team hotel before the Trojans arrived.

Needless to say, it’s another faux pas for USC head coach Lane Kiffin, who has had a number of them this season.
