UCLA DC Does Bull Dance on Sidelines

September 22nd, 2012| by

If you’re a fan of the 1996 film Happy Gilmore, this post is for you.

During UCLA’s game with Oregon State on Saturday, Bruins defensive coordinator Lou Spanos was seen doing the bull dance from the Adam Sandler comedy while signaling his unit during the second quarter. We know that coordinators can get pretty creative when it comes to signaling plays, but this is definitely a first.

We’re guessing that Spanos has never even seen the film and that the play call is actually supposed to be riding a horse.

But for anyone that has seen Happy Gilmore, this will always be the bull dance and remind us of Kevin Nealon’s commentary: “Doin’ the bull dance, feelin’ the flow.”

Compare the GIFs below. Spanos definitely has the form down.
