USC Crowd During Loss: ‘Fire Kiffin!’

The ice upon which USC head coach Lane Kiffin is standing just got even thinner.
Toward the end of the Trojans’ embarrassing 10–7 upset loss to Washington State at home on Saturday, the crowd at the L.A. Coliseum started chanting “Fire Kiffin!” Producing a mere 193 yards of total offense against an unranked opponent at home is worthy cause for something like that – especially after last season’s disappointing 7-6 record.
“You can’t worry about that, it is what it is,” Kiffin told Bill Plaschke of the Los Angeles Times. “I think I heard those before the game started, in warmups, I’m getting used to it.”
That might be a “good” thing, for Kiffin will likely hear it the rest of the year.
