Wilson’s Wife, Dog Go Viral During ‘12 Draft
April 10th, 2013| by Lost Lettermen
Seattle Seahawks fans will fondly remember the day their team selected former NC State and Wisconsin QB Russell Wilson in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Not just because Wilson’s rookie season indicates that the 12th Man will get to cheer on a standout signal caller for many years to come but also because of the memorable reaction from Wilson’s wife, Angie.
When ESPN’s cameras showed Wilson reacting to his receiving a call from the Seattle brass, Angie was among the people in the room. Her crazy face — which she made while clutching hers and Russell’s pet dachshund, Cali — immediately went viral.
And it was well worth it, too. Her husband was the 2012 NFL Rookie of the Year and led the Seahawks to the divisional round of the NFC playoffs.
You can be sure that among the 250 or so players picked in this year’s draft, there’s bound to be a reaction similar to — if not as over-the-top and memorable as — Angie Wilson’s.
